gday!, thank you for the wishes.  mateo moved from bogota columbia to go to recording school in florida.  he barely spoke english but managed to get the word out that he was looking to form a band.  dan meanwhile, was at the same school, i think just trying to stay out of the real world as long as he could.  finally gave in to mateo’s badgering and they made the band.  they thought that if you were gonna get signed you had to be in NY.  so they moved there.  (mateo actually had a job stapling houses with some carpentry hook up and he sucked at it so bad that his boss stapled him to the top rung of a ladder)  anyhow, broke and no action, got a call from a chicago manager at the time who managed us. he started putting their band as openers for our old band and we met that way.  

after a summer of hanging out on our deck every night, the four of us connected in every way to which there was no chance of not breaking the old and constructing the new.
