nathan has a cache of notions he wants to express.  we start with seeds of music, generally mateo.  then we all start chewing into it. at that point, we know what vibe the song is going to have, be it dark, heavy, hopeful etc…and at that point, nathan matches a sentiment to the emotion of the music and starts carving out his core lyrics.  lyrics generally are the last thing w all bands.  it’s difficult to match rhythm, and syncopation to a new music bed.  we usually discuss what we want a body of work to be like, in terms of how we are feeling in life, before we begin. 

which might imply ww3 as a pretty damn heavy record lol
